When Donald Trump recently won the election, I decided to pick up her book — partly out of curiosity, partly to get a better sense of who Melania really is.

Melania’s memoir takes us through her journey from growing up in Slovenia to becoming First Lady of the United States.
She describes what it was like to move to America, the excitement and the stress of breaking into the modeling world, and how she navigated life as an immigrant trying to make it in New York.
One of her main messages is that “Every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their dreams and have a bright future.”
It’s clear she views her own journey as an example of what is possible if you’re determined and willing to take risks.
