100 Days Reading Journey: Day 2 — A Lesson in Redefining Value
It’s day two of my 100-day reading challenge.
If you missed day one check it here.
I’ve been really excited about how this journey is going to sharpen my writing skills and help me stay consistent and learn new things each day.
After yesterday’s solid start, I’m couldn’t wait to continue reading the book The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau.
Today’s reading really had me rethinking how I approach value, especially in my work.
I’ve always been someone who’s focused on metrics — how many likes, impressions, shares, or comments my content gets.
I would constantly refresh my stats every 30 mins as long as I’m in my laptop or phone.
It’s part of the job, right?
As a social media manager, numbers matter, and it’s easy to get caught up in tracking those results.
But after today’s reading, I feel like it’s time to re-evaluate that.
Guillebeau’s message was simple: “If you make business about helping others, you’ll have plenty of work”.
That hit me hard because I realized need to look at value differently.
