100 Days Reading Journey: Day 1 Reflection

Today I kicked off my “100 Days Reading Journey,” a challenge where I’ll spend 30 minutes each day reading and sharing what I learned.

One of my main reasons for doing this is to improve my writing. I write a lot for work — whether it’s content for social media or connecting with users online — but I want to get better.

This challenge is about building consistency, becoming a better writer, and learning from books in a way that sticks with me.

To help me with this, I’m using Speechify, which reads the books out loud while I follow along with the text. I did pay a premium but I find it super helpful, especially since I sometimes need to read things a couple of times to really understand them. Im the type of person that when im hearing and seeing the words together just makes the process smoother for me.

For Day 1, I started with The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. As someone working for a startup and doing remote work, the themes of freedom and entrepreneurship really hit hard for me.
